In the year of 2000-2001:
During my sophomore year in high school my friend Mariela needed a summary to a book called Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. I had asked her why and she stated, “Well Vanessa, I need to finish this book to make my summary report and I have nothing. She asked me to do this for her because I had a “so-called†gift in predicting the ending of books. So I said, “Fine, just tell me the beginning and I will guess the rest for you.†She began telling the story with Harry being the only boy who survived from You Know Who to Hogwarts and a little of Professor Quirell.â€
So I said, “Ok, than this boy Harry is very important to Voldemort. He is going to come back with Professor Quirell and try to kill him again but something is going to happen to Harry because Professor Quirell will not be able to get the Sorcerers stone for which I believe Voldemort will need it. Ron and Hermione will help him in is journey and Harry for once in his life will have friends in is life. †(I guess I was not that far off.)
As I told her this I began to think how interesting the book was. Her sister Tina also read the book and later told me to read the book. I gave it a little thought and when the first movie came out, I realized that I had to read the book. I had watched the movie at least five times before I finally got my hands into a book.
After the reading the first book I needed to get my hands on the second, third, and so on. It was something of a new addiction; I needed Hogwarts and Harry Potter as much as I need the motivation to continue to seek knowledge in many other things. And now I am here! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
