Book Review- Duma Key

Post by Katya Snow »

(gosh i hope i'm doing this right)

Duma Key by Stephan King is one of those books that sucks you in and keeps you there. it starts with the main character, a man with two daughters and a loving wife named Edgar Freemantle, getting into a horrendous accident leaving him physically disabled, and emotionally and mentally damaged. unable t cope with his extreme rage episodes his wife divorces him and he leaves to return on the coast of Duma Key where he discovers the peace and joy of painting. nothing is as it seams however and soon he discovers a horrendous secrete in the form of a violent, demented spirit that has gifted his paintings with a life of their own. what he paints, becomes a reality and he must fight and struggle to stop the wicked spirit before it takes the last of what he loves. several dark pasts and subtle religious references make this an amazingly good book.
