Short summary of the author: Kevin J. Anderson is an American author who has written many spin-off novels for the science-fiction community, including Star Wars (a LOT of Star Wars!), Titan A.E. and The X-Files. He has also written many of his own stories.

Good points / bad points: Many people probably recognize his work on the expanded Star Wars universe like The Jedi Academy trilogy and The Young Jedi Knights series. He and his wife Rebecca Moesta (who is also a writer) started a publishing company called WordFire Press to publish out-of-print books and they also do reprints and ebooks. Anderson's stories take you to another world! His original works that I just finished, The Saga of Shadows trilogy is about humans and aliens trying to recover from a massive war (as written about in his previous series The Saga of Seven Suns, which I haven't read yet but there's enough of a recap to where its not necessary to read it to enjoy the Saga of Shadows) when they have to face a new evil. I highly recommend it! His characters are relatable and really pull you into the world. The only issue I really had was pronouncing some of the names, but that seems to be a common theme in Sci-Fi novels.
