Book Review - Charlie Bone and the Blue Boa

Post by Silvana Mandeville »

Title: Charlie Bone and the Blue Boa
Author: Jenny Nimmo
Series: Children of the Red King
Genre: Children's literature, Fantasy Fiction
Short Summary: A boy was once lost in the attics and never seen again. Charlie Bone is intrigued, but he has problems of his own. Uncle Paton has disappeared, winter of 1916 into the present day.

Good and Bad Points:
A good book for kids. I really enjoy reading this book, it's fun. The story was about gifted kids. The main character has a gift to enter the pictures and talk to people in the pictures. Charlie Bone reminds me of Harry Potter. I love how Charlie and friends do the mission to release Blue Boa, also to help Ollie Sparks to be seen again and return to his family. When I read, I imagined Blue Boa looks like Occamy. I really love Benjamin's dog and the fire cats. The scene where Daniel helped Sparko to get back to his picture was wonderful, especially when he got to see the Red King. Overall it's a great book!
