*groans* For my debating today we had to stand up and talk for a minute about a topic given to us on the spot. Mine was "What is your favourite movie and why?"
The Lord of the Rings just popped out before I could even think... but then I couldn't remember Elijah Woods' name...! So I just... called him Frodo... *hides* But then I remembered, so I was like, "Oh yeah, Elijah Wood..."

hmm.. there's lots that i love..

of course i love both ss and cos... but there's also:

-sweet home alabama
-a walk to remember
-two weeks notice
-lord of the rings

and much much more.. just those off the top off my head

If you like scary movies then I recommend Darkness Falls. It's showing right now in the US but I don't know about the other countries.

Plot: The movies is about and old woman who gave any child who lost a tooth a gold coin. The kids and the town referred to her as the "Tooth Fairy" who's house has burned and really burned her face. She survived. After that she could only come out at night wearing a mask. After two boys disapeared from the town, the people accused her and she was hanged. Will she was dying she placed a curse over the town to kill anyone who set their eyes on her.

i saw darkness falls a month ago, and i liked it too, but i don't think it was scary enough, hehe. other movies i like are: harry potter(of course) chicago, lord of the rings, sleepless in seatle, charlie's angels, rush hour 1 and 2, and many many more /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />.

Chicago was awesome! i'm not a fan of watching musicals made into movies but Chicago was an exception for me. i thought it was gonna be a dramatic movie, kinda like Moulin Rouge but its totally its oposite. i was dancing from its beigining to its end! /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

i also like to recommend The Piannist. it's a movie about a true story of how a man survived during the Holocaust(sp?), u know, the thing about the jews and the germans....it's 2 hours and 22 min. long but they never get boring. it's a very interesting movie and it keeps you in the edge of ur chair every moment. great movie!

*smacks her forehead for forgetting* I loved Oceans 11.

I have one favorite foreign movie as well... The original French version of La Femme Nikita (they Americans had a remake of this called Points of No Return--I like to think of it as a direct homage because it's exactly the same, minus the actors, language, and some names... I mean, Nikita to Maggie? the hell were these people thinking!). I loved Bob... :] And he and Niki had that extremely intricate relationship... and chemistry.

My all-time favorite movie has to be Rocky Horror Picture Show... its so hilarious and has the worst special effects ever... its glorious /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Plus... the lips at the beginning are the best... loving the bright red lipstick... oh and you can see all the gunk on the guys tongue hehehe... oh well its the most disturbing musical ever... its great lol
