Read the following prompts and choose to participate in the discussion that you want for 15 points. If you want to participate in both, you can certainly do it and earn a total of 30 points. Suggested due date for this discussion is December 31st, 2023. Final due date is January 15th, 2024.
1. Our Top 3 for Lesson 4 revealed The Piano, Jurassic Park, and Schindler’s List as the best movies from the year 1993. What is your opinion about those movies? Which are the ones you have seen? Which are the ones you haven’t seen? Which one you liked the most and why? Which one would you like to see the most and why? Is there a movie that doesn’t appeal to you and why? These are some ideas but you can discuss whatever you like about those movies. Make your discussion at least 150 words for your 15 points.
2. As you know, The Piano, Jurassic Park, and Schindler’s List made it to the 1993 movie’s Top 3, but what about the other movies? Think about all the other movies we mentioned in Lesson 3. Is there a particular movie or movies you think deserved more attention and should have won more Oscars? Discuss the movie(s) you chose and explain your reasons why the Academy should have appreciated it/them more. Make your discussion at least 150 words for your 15 points.
