I liked the variety of tasks. Though I would have loved to have some HP related things instead of Avengers and stuff. The trivia was really fun. The warming up puzzle was too hard.

A lot of the puzzles were to hard for me. Also I'm happy it was not Harry Potter related. I like how we can sometimes have events that are not Harry Potter related. TY for throwing this together those that did that for us.

Re: Triwizard Tournament
I loved getting to write for the creative tasks but I did find these difficult since they were not anchored in the Potter universe. It's nice to include other fandoms in challenges but it does make things more challenging when writing with a character who is already well established (in my mind anyway) as a Hogwarts student. I hope we have more RP style challenges in the future as these (along with puzzles) are always the bits I like best.

I agree with Maxwell. I was expecting more HP-related tasks. I love to write, and while I enjoyed completing the creative tasks, I found them difficult, because I wan't well-versed in the fandom they consisted of.

They were fun, they were difficult. I really enjoyed, on one of the timed events, that we could participate as a team.
I liked that we had a change of scene for the challenges. I DO like HP but I also like other things and this was fun enough, and general enough, that I didn't need to know a great deal about the mythos and legends (google is my friend!) to be able to complete the tasks.
The tiles task was HARD. DIFFICULT. ARDUOUS. STRENUOUS. I did that instead of homework and did that instead of chores *G*. It was peculiarly satisfying to make a set of sentences which included all the words....

Agreed I like HP events, but to have HP events always isn't fun. Also I would love to see a challenge like around the world again, but instead of around the world have it around the USA this time.

Re: Triwizard Tournament
Both HP and non-HP themes can be a lot of fun - I think what's important is that the theme is part of the name or description of the activity. If the activity is called "Triwizard tournament" people are going to expect something very similar to the tournament in HP. If the activity was called "Mythology adventure" or "Triwizard tournament: brought to you by the avengers", people would have different expectations and therefore wouldn't be frustrated with the lack of HP elements because it would be well advertised that the activity was based on mythology, etc.
I had fun with the first creative task, and I loved most of the puzzles! The timed puzzles were great! My favorite was the sliding puzzle one, though I also had a blast ruining the jigsaw puzzle and making Ryan redo it. The word search was tricky because of all the spelling variations, but it was a good challenge. The rebus-type puzzles were a lot easier, which was a good complement to the timed tasks
Thanks for your hard work Ariella and Fumei!

Re: Triwizard Tournament
Looking up the trivia questions was fun! I liked learning about Camelot, Norse Mythology (which I also happen to be taking as a class), and Marvel characters.
Although I'm really interested in seeing everyone else's stories, I'm a little afraid of having mine put up. I had a lot of fun writing them, with Cody's input, but I think they might have ended up too ridiculous. Heh.
And puzzles are always great, even if they are impossible.
Thanks Ariella and Fumei!
