The latest movie I watched is Baby Driver. It is a beautifully shot, music-oriented film following a man who was caught up in a life of crime due to a mistake he made as a young boy.
The character is crafted very emotionally - he is sensitive, mostly mute, falls in love over the course of the movie, and is physically impacted with tinnitus, which he gained from a car accident involving his parents as a young boy.
His connection to music is prominent in the movie, with scenes timed perfectly to the backing track, or him deciding a song that reflects his mood.

If you are 15+, the movie is definitely worth a watch. :P

I've been rewatching the Harry Potter movies, with Chamber of Secrets being the most recent I watched. I was hoping to have watched more by now, but life got a bit busy.

I re-watched Isle of Dogs today. It is a beautifully crafted film about ownership, loss and being reunited. Also surprisingly political for what it looks like at surface level. An emotional rollercoaster of hope and hopelessness, all wrapped up with a beautiful and relieving end. As a bonus, Wes Anderson's creative style is just extremely visually pleasing.

If you love dogs, I highly recommend. Bittersweet and rewatchable a million times over.

Not too long ago I finished watching Titanic for the first time and loved it. Before watching, I thought it would be a boring historical movie about the sinking of the luxury ship, but it turned out to be much more interesting. The dynamic between Jack and Rose was unforgettable. I loved every character (besides Cal), and the acting was superior. I think adding a love story element aided the movie to reach a broader audience. I will definitely be rewatching for years to come.

I'm currently watching Big Hero 6 and it's such an incredible film. The characters are so well-drawn, the emotional threads are so strong, and the lessons are so good! My favorite character is probably Wasabi or Go Go—after Baymax of course. Being Autistic, I relate to his confused-but-kind approach to humanity a lot.

The last movie I watched is probably The half-blood prince with my little brother. Even though it’s probably the 6th time I’ve watched it,it is still epic!

I’ve watched Ratatouille maybe three or four times since first catching it at a drive-in during its release, and every time I go in thinking, “maybe this won’t be as good as I remember.” And every time, I’m struck by how much I still love it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the execution the first time around, and it continues to hold up. I’d easily call it one of Disney/Pixar’s finest, which is saying something considering how deeply I grew up loving their work.

It follows Remy, a wannabe chef rat in Paris, who teams up with the deeply unqualified Linguini, quite literally pulling the strings to chase the dream of cooking in a real kitchen. It’s the perfect blend of absurd, clever, and unexpectedly inspiring.

Chef’s kiss. No notes.
