House Areas
Slytherin Common Room, also known as The Dungeons
- The Dungeons is a place where all the Slytherins can meet and chat. Students and professors from others houses can also sign up.
- We plot, we prank, and we run amok in our spacious dungeon quarters which is home to our House pets (among other things) - a fabulous basilisk named Basil and Malumbrabas, our snuggly leithfold. It is also where the Slytherin CONSTANT VIGILANCE Headquarters is located.
- Be sure to check The Slytherin Dungeons on a regular basis to keep updated on Slytherin activities and our quest for the Cup!
Slytherin Activity Points (SAP)
- As a Slytherin student, you can win Slytherin Activity Points! These count only in Slytherin. The person who wins the most points by the end of the year will win the "Dweller of the Dungeons" and if you're in the top ten, you'll receive an award also. Points can be won in a variety of ways: Participating in contests or games; nominating and voting for the Slytherin awards; attending House meetings.

SerpenTimes
- The SerpenTimes is the house newspaper which features reviews, interviews, riddles, puzzles, stories and fun and games from all your favourite snakes (and others around HOL!). To read previous issues or for more information, please see the website link above!
Slythmas
- Slythmas is the official month of Slytherin celebrations in HOL! Each house has claimed a month where they have contests and fun activities, and here in Slytherin, we love Christmas so it was only natural that we made it our own. During the month of December the common room will be transformed into a winter wonderland with loads of activities like an advent calendar, secret snake and heaps more! It's a great month so be sure to participate in the activities we bring to you in December!
Prefects
Promising Students
Promising Students are basically those in Slytherin who show potential in the house, with the possibility of one day becoming a Prefect. Students are hand-picked by the Slytherin Staff (HoH, DHoH, Professors, Prefects) based on their activeness, helpfulness and progress in the house. Students must be a member of HOL and Slytherin for one term before they are considered for this position.
The main job of a Promising Student is to assist Prefects in house-related matters, more specifically the Common Room. Students must be part of the Promising Students group before they will be considered for the position of Prefect. Prefects are chosen at the discretion of current staff members.
