Re: NaNoWriMo
Thanks for the encouragement, guys :) my final exam is tomorrow, so I'll get started tomorrow afternoon. I haven't got much of a word count yet, but I've been using the trips into and out of uni (which are about an hour each) to do plotting in my head, and I've definitely got something I'm excited t...

Re: NaNoWriMo
I'm (probablyish) doing it this year! It sadly does conflict with final exams (as it has every year since I heard about it in about 2011), but what the hey, it's not going to stop clashing anytime soon, so I'm just going to wait until exams are over (on Wednesday week) and see how it goes. I may hav...

Re: Knit-class-together
So I finally got around to getting my yarn! It's the bright canary yellow and the black in this one: https://www.spotlightstores.com/fabrics-yarn/yarn/acrylic-yarn/4-seasons-marvel-soft-8-ply-yarn/p/BP80250661 It's probably going to be a little longer before I get started on it, though, since I need...

Re: What Book Are You Reading?
I adore the Shiver series! I think Linger might even be my favourite of the trilogy. Sadly, I'm not reading anything at the moment, what with end of year exams happening. Once summer holidays start in two weeks, though, I'm definitely going to be getting into the books! My sister got a book as a pre...

Re: Knit-class-together
Oh nice, well done! It does seem quite close to the Gryffindor colours there, but it's quite hard to tell with that lighting. I'm hoping to buy the wool sometime tomorrow or the day after, so I'll defintely do my best to put a picture up

Re: Knit-class-together
I was actually thinking quite a lot about what shades to use. I'm planning on making a thick-band scarf, but there's no pictures of the Hufflepuff version of that from any of the movies that I can find. I kind of wanted to get started, and I have a massive ball of sort of buttery-yellow wool that is...

Re: Knit-class-together
Hey guys! The link to the class forum from the class site isn't working, but I managed to find my way here :) Anyone else doing the knitting class this year, or got a knitting project going currently? I've finished the first assignment, and I've been working on the next two at the same time. I'm pla...

Re: HOL 101 Introductions
Heya everyone! My name is Lucy Tyler, and I only recently found HOL while googling for knitting instructions, and I came across the HOL knitting class. Unsurprisingly, I'm taking that one this term, as well as HOL 101 (which I'm sure you wouldn't have guessed :P ), as well as Tour of the Common Room...

Re: The Topic For Introductions!
Hi all! My name is Lucy Tyler and I've just been sorted into Hufflepuff. IRL, my name is Heather, and I'm a massive bookworm from Australia who loves being creative and playing muggle quidditch for a local team. My friends (and Pottermore... twice...) insist I should be a Ravenclaw, but I maintain I...
