In Roman mythology, Venus was the goddess of love, beauty, fertility, prosperity and victory. Romans considered her their ancestor through her son, Aeneas, who survived the fall of Troy and fled to Italy.

A lot of ancient politicians and other historical figures claimed to be descended or related to Venus as it was considered a special honor to be connected to the gods in such a way. Even Julius Caesar claimed her personal favour as his divine patron. They had shrines in their homes dedicated to the gods with food, personal trinkets or objects that would make the god happy.

Make a shrine to the goddess Venus as your family’s patron. You can do this either through graphic design, photography or by writing about it in 100 words or more. Your creation must be your own and abide by all HOL rules.

Post your shrines below (keep it 600x600 or less) by October 31st 11:59 pm HOL time to get 25 Hoots and 50 beans.
