Mars – Popular Culture

Post by Prof. Maxim Trevelyan »

Historically, Mars was thought to be the most likely of the planets to harbor life and mentions if Mars in popular culture go as far back as the 18th century, though true fascination with the Red Planet did not occur until late 19th. Since then, Martians have been common in popular culture, showing up in Looney Tunes, The War of the Worlds, Total Recall, Babylon 5 and many more. The planet itself has also been heavily featured, one of the more recent ventures being The Martian in 2015.

Color in the page below depicting one of the most famous Martians in the animation business, Marvin. Please make sure to use a wide array of colors, not just one or two, otherwise, it will not be counted for Hoots or beans.
