Interestingly enough, while Neptune is featured in popular culture, Voyager I and II, crafts that explored the farthest planets (Neptune being one of them), are more depicted than the planets they are observing. The most famous is of course Star Trek: Voyager, but the name has also been mentioned in The X-Files and the show Cosmos was directly inspired by the people watching the departing crafts.
