Wizard’s Feast

Post by Lucia Dinapoli »

With the slow build towards the time of year for the Halloween Feast, it got me thinking about all the glorious foods and drinks of the Wizarding World…and which ones I would quite like to try (if only I had a house elf on hand)

Of course, in the Muggle world we have been lucky enough to enjoy some things; chocolate frogs, Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and Butterbeer are all widely commercialised for us to enjoy. That said, is there anything out there you would like to see commercialised and available for public taste?

I'd like to see acid pops! I love everything sour and with strong taste, so I'd be the one buying the lot for sure. I jsut hope they're not made with real acid.

I think Fizzing Whizzbees would be fun to see more often! I'm sure Muggles would love for the opportunity to float for a bit. They have always been obsessed with flying machines, after all. Plus, the taste is something I've always enjoyed, whether billywig stings are included or not.

Pepper Imps! I can imagine something with a strong cinnamon taste (which is one of my favorites), plus the added bonus of having the ability to breath fire. Fresh breath, cool intimidation factor, and yummy taste all rolled into one!

I’d be so into trying Ice Mice!! That’d be a fun one. Obviously more for the magical effects, which would be harder to replicate as muggles, haha. Just novel to have as a wizarding world inspired treat otherwise!

I would like to try sugar quills. It would be nice to have a sugar quill or two while studying or while concentrating on work. Though I doubt it would be the healthiest coping method while dealing with stress.

I would love if Pumpkin Juice were a standard thing. I know the muggle world has produced Butterbeer, however I have yet to find any commercialized Pumpkin Juice! I tried making my own years ago, and loved it! I just hope the muggle population will soon come up with a product available for purchase. Something that isn't "pumpkin spice" but actually the juice from the wizarding world. I suppose until then, I am stuck following various recipes online.

I would love to try butterbeer, pumpkin juice, sugar quills, ice mice and chocolate frogs. These all sound like they would be so much fun to try and yummy.

There are a few posts over Instagram and on Youtube videos, about how to make Harry Potter drinks, including pumpkin juice.
