Hufflepuff House Spirit Awards - March through June

Post by Felicia »

Her luggage was stacked on the other side of her room and she was in no mood to unpack either with magic or without. The lounge chair she was sitting in was way too comfortable to get up or even retrieve her wand from her desk. This was the part of vacation Felicia dreaded the most.

The last two weeks was heaven. Blue skies (most of the time), beautiful beach weather (most of the time), and listening to the waves crashing on the beach as she laid in bed at night was just, well, heavenly.

But reality was setting in. She was back at Hogwarts and there were things that had to get done before the start of the new term. With a sigh, Felicia reached over to where her wand laid on the desk and with a gentle swish, she started unpacking.

The process went smoothly, all her clothing made it to he closets and dressers folded or hung on hangers with no issue. It was when she unpacked her small Vera Belladonna bag something flittered to the floor.

Felicia walked over to the papers and was shocked at what she saw. Laying on the floor were months of the Hufflepuff House Spirit Awards winners that should have been announced by now. She slightly remembered working on an announcement for the awards, but it was also at the time she was planning her summer vacation trip and somehow the parchments got mixed up in her holiday plans.

She picked up all the parchment and separated them into two categories, vacation and awards. Once things were sorted, Felicia started writing up a new parchment to make the delayed announcement.

We have had a wealth, a plethora of activity in the Sett this Spring.

Bright Badgers, those Badgers who earned the highest number of House points this Spring, are:
Amy Darvill, Harry Walles, Jessica Barnes and Jellicle Moon
Thank you for bringing in those points!

As you can see in Hufflepuff Award Descriptions, found in The Fireplace, a Badger Sett-er Award "is for the regular and active Sett Visitor, and it may be a Badger or ... maybe not!"
We are pleased that we've some folks who come in here and play a lot!  The Badger Sett-er Award goes to:
Aurelia West and Professor Will Lestrange.

Scholarly Badger Awards are given to that person who is of that 'year' and earned the most House points in the Term for which the award is given and/or for the entire year. These are the people who earned them:
First year - Harry Walles
Second year - Amy Darvill
Third year - Selenophilia Moon
Fourth year - Pezzie Wolfe
Fifth year - Kaitlyn Nightingale

Sixth year - Jellicle Moon
Post Graduate - Sirius Fudge

Well done, Badgers!

Along with the end of term Scholarly Badger Awards, there is an award for the Professor who has the most amount of points at the end of the Term - the Bright Badger Professor Edition - This goes to Professor Tarma Amelia Black

House Spirit Award - given to a person who "shows an exemplary amount of House Spirit", goes to our very own Harry Walles!

Badger by Another Name - is for those people who are of other Houses (or no house affiliation) who have shown themselves by deed or word or action to have distinct Badger traits. These three people have earned some serious Diamonds in the Sett, have responsible positions in their Houses, and are busy in HOL.  The BBAN goes to:
Emily Spencer
Louis Walles
Mia Fountain

The Hungarian Horntail Award is like the House Spirit Award magnified.
Two people, Amy Darvill and Harry Walles, have shown their exuberant spirit and overall Badgerness this whole past year, as they gleefullly took on the roles of Minis and proceeded to wreck the Sett create wonderful activities for people to do. The Hungarian Horntail Award goes to Amy and Harry. Thank you both.

Now that that was taken care of, Felicia left her rooms to go post the announcement in the proper places.

“Afterwards, I think I’ll go down to the kitchens and see if Wilbur can whip up a nice cool beverage and I can pretend I’m still on vacation” she whispered to herself as she posted the last parchment on the bulletin board.
