Jedi Apprentice Training Introduction

Post by Gail Allen »

For years you've lived and studied at the great Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. Ever since you learned at a very young age that you were sensitive to the Force it's been your greatest wish to one day become a real Jedi Knight. Maybe even a Jedi Master one day if the Force is with you. Together with the other Jedi Younglings you have learned about the many different galaxies and planets and of course the species that inhabit them. In the Jedi Temple you've had the chance to get to know some of these quite well, for in the Order of the Jedi everyone is welcome and quite a few of your teachers and classmates are quite different from you. What binds you together is the Force and the Force is what will guide you through your life.

Before you can hope to become a knight though, you must first impress a knight or a master enough that they will choose to make you their Padawan Apprentice. The first three weeks of this month will focus on honing some of the skills you will need to do just that and move along the path to one day become a Jedi Knight. In the last week all your preparation will be put to good use as we come to the Gathering where all you younglings will travel to the Crystal Caves of Ilum. There you will search for a crystal that resonates with your personal Force Presence. Once you've found that, you have found the core for your very own lightsaber and when you return to the Temple you can begin constructing it. This is a very important step on your journey, so make sure you prepare well in the coming weeks.
