Module #4 - "MANIFESTATIONS" - Spring 2021

Post by Prof. Sindor Aloyarc »

Welcome to the Module 04 "Manifestations" thread! Write some kind of a Short Story or Poem that revolves around this month's Power ("Scroll-and-a-Half" / 150 words). Let those creative juices flow! In addition to submitting via e-mail, you are encouraged to post these publicly here. While this will not effect your points, it will encourage interactions by providing additional options for people to to connect on, particularly for those who take part in the "Mingling" portion of this month's exercises if they enjoy or relate to your work and choose to talk about something you've shared.

Laura grew up watching Disney movies, reading romantic novels and was always writing love poems.
She always thought she was going to have a fairytale romance when she turns 20 or something. Would imagine maybe having a high school sweetheart or bumping into the love of her life in a cafe across the street from her house.
Throughout her life she was always with her nose in the books, fantasizing about what the future might bring her that she didn't pay much attention to herself or around her.
Her friends little by little started getting boyfriends. As the years went by they started getting married and having kids and she was nowhere close to that.
She started losing hope, thought that maybe love wasn't for everyone and that she was meant to live and die alone, so she decided to go out, start meeting people in bars, clubs, date apps, blind dates, everything, but nothing would end up in a relationship because they wouldn't start the way she wanted them to... as a fairytale.
After much going out with many different people she gave up. She realized she was not going to find what she was looking for because there was something missing. Laura started noticing that her desperation and need to find love was taking a toll on her. She was exhausted, depressed, and felt empty inside. And for the first time in many years, she decided to stop searching for it. Became determined in healing and learn to love herself 'since I'm not meant to find love I might as well love myself' she thought and as her journey to self-love began so did her confidence, and with that, true love appeared. HERSELF!
Loving yourself is the most powerful tool because when you learn to love every inch of you, there are no limits as to what you can become, what you can achieve, and what you can create.

This month's power is so pure and true
That it might outlast me and you.

We've all heard this power used before
To defeat the dark Lord Voldemort.

Of course, in that case we quickly realize,
The use of the power came as a surprise.

In the lesson we learn about those we lost...
Yes, grieving comes with a mental cost.

But it also reminds us about all the best
Times we had with them - as they all rest.

Now, we should feel this power while we're still alive;
It's an emotion which will help us thrive.

And when we're forced to be apart,
And it feels like there's a hole in our heart...

Our memories of all the good times we had,
And future plans can help make us glad.

And even if those future plans never come to pass,
There are still the memories that we amass.

Looking forward or back, either way:
This power can motivate us without delay.

And of course, what we are talking of
Is the famous Power of Love!
